The Job:
Emergency Services Dispatcher – Fire
Looking for something that is more than a job? The City of Littleton is looking for a dedicated Emergency Services Dispatcher to be part of Littleton Fire Rescue's Communications division.

The role of Emergency Services Dispatcher is not for the faint of heart. The position includes shift work with a current rotating schedule of 5 days on with two days off then five days on with three days off. Dispatch services are needed 365 days a year, 24 hours per day.

The shifts are currently 0630-1430 for days, 1430-2230 for swings, 2230-0630 for graves.  Dispatchers are required to be available for emergency coverage four hours before and after their shift for possible sick coverage.

Who You Are:
You have...
  • A high school diploma or GED;
  • A valid driver's license and qualifying driving record;
  • 1 year of customer service experience;
  • Knowledge of Medical Priority Dispatch Systems (MPDS), Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Incident Command System (ICS) upon hire or within 1 year from date of hire.

  • Keep calm in emergency situations

  • Knowledge of Littleton- locations and streets
  • Multi-tasking skills

What You'll Do: / A Day in the Life:
Receive daily emergency 9-1-1 calls, question caller's, record information and dispatch appropriate fire personnel to scene
